Choosing a Dentist

What Should You Look for in a Dentist?

Does your dentist care about you? Do they know your history and your goals? Do they take time to find out?

Establishing rewarding and lasting relationships with our patients is important to us here at Dr. Wais’ Scottsdale dental practice. We pledge excellence in all that we do, and we look forward to helping you make the most of your smile now and for many years to come.

When prospective patients come to our office, they know how committed we are to their dental health. We spend a great deal of time getting to know our patients, and we will not begin our work until you are at ease and understand what we have planned for you. We encourage open communication between our patients and our staff.

The comfort and satisfaction of our patients is of tremendous importance. We want to impress upon our patients that, in this dental office, the patient comes first.

Make sure you choose a dentist that does the same.

It takes four years for an undergraduate degree and another 4 years for a dental degree. This however is really just the beginning of a dentist’s journey! How a dentist pursues their continued education after they receive their degree is what really determines competency.

Ask your potential dentist about his/her post graduate education. This is where you will find the dentist that matches your needs. If you have minimal dental needs then most dentists will be good candidates for you. If you have more extensive, possibly complex dental needs then look for advanced, hands-on training type courses.

Dr. Wais has spent many years taking primarily hands-on advanced care training to deal with anything from making fillings look like natural enamel to replacing missing teeth with dental implants. His dedication to knowledge of the newest and best technology combined with his years of experience give him the expertise needed to provide you the highest quality care. We are ready to help you – whatever your needs!

Anyone can buy a book of sample dentistry showing before-and-after photographs. Talk is cheap and the real test of any dentist is the work he or she has actually performed. Ask your potential dentist to show you pictures of their work – take a look at their actual results. All the pictures you see on our website, in our photo books and on the walls of our office are our patients – please feel free to ask about any of them.

Our dental team in our state-of-the-art office is well versed in all areas of dentistry. We offer modern, gentle, diagnostic, preventive, restorative, reconstructive, and cosmetic dental techniques. These techniques provide for the maintenance, restoration or replacement of your natural teeth. All done in a way that is not only comfortable and safe, but absolutely pain-free.

“I believe that life is better when you have great teeth. That’s why we do what we do and take the extra steps needed for your comfort. We believe that you should be free from oral discomfort – able to eat the foods you enjoy, and able to express yourself with the confidence of a great smile.”
